Rwanda: Not just a destination for William Penn University

NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon recently visited Rwanda with his family, after his initial visit last summer to the Democratic Republic of Congo. One might ask – what is a NASCAR driver doing in Africa?

Well, the answer is encouraging intercultural learning with his wife and 4-year old daughter through visits to Rwandan hospitals, where his foundation (the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation) also contributes money and other forms of assistance to help improve their health systems.
