Rwanda: Different Ways of Remembering 1994

For outsiders of Rwanda, the genocide of 1994 is the main thing that is known about the small African country. However, for Rwandans, it is something that must be remembered correctly in order to move on with life and the nation’s development.

Time (known for its magazine) has a video on their website regarding how some churches within Rwanda are remembering the past – while another strives to move towards a better future, without discrimination.

I encourage you to take the 5 minutes to watch how parts of the same country remember the genocide differently in order to move on, while not forgetting the lives that have been lost.
