Dating a Korean: 101
Intercultural dating is more common than many people realize – especially when you are located in a diverse country, such as the United States.
While no one can say explicit “rules” or guidelines in dating another person (regardless of a cultural similarity or difference), the blog Asia24/7 recently posted a chart that gives some insight – and phrases – to dating someone who is North or South Korean.
Like all such charts, the information can be used in a good way or can be seen as demeaning for people within that cultural group. However, I will admit that charts are often good ways for people to visualize. Besides, who wouldn’t want 100 roses on their 100th day of dating?
If you want to read an interesting blog post on what it is like to be a western woman dating (and marrying!) a Korean man in South Korea, you should check out this blog post! http://www.going-places-blog.com/2009/05/dating-korean-guy-in-korea.html
