International Education Week at William Penn University

Since 2000, International Education Week has been a major initiative sponsored by the Departments of State and Education with the United States government. For one week (usually the week before Thanksgiving), schools around the world focus on the impact that other cultures and countries have had within their campus setting and on the importance of encouraging intercultural and international experiences.

This year, William Penn University will also be joining in on the celebrations and attempts of raising awareness about this large-impact week. The schedule for the school will be the following:

Monday: POSTER DISPLAY: Learn about countries from around the world represented at William Penn University

11am to 1pm. Student Union Lobby.

Tuesday: Arlen Daleske: Guest speaker with InterVarsity who will speak about his time in the Middle East

9pm. Chief Mahaska Room.

Wednesday: Eat, Pray, Love: International Movie night (snacks and drinks will be provided)

7pm.  PAC 207.

Thursday: Jones Room: Take a look into the history of the Middle East with artifacts in the Jones Room owned by William Penn University

11am to 1pm. Jones Room – Downstairs Library.

All are welcome to join the United World Club at William Penn University to celebrate International Education Week!
