Christmas celebrated around the world

Today, I would like to take a moment to wish everyone who celebrates Christmas a joyous day. (However, I would also like to wish those who celebrate other winter holidays – such as Kwanzaa – enjoyable moments with their traditions!)

A former international student from France, Jennifer Sourice, shared some of her family’s traditions. “In my family, Christmas is more about spending a nice dinner with all of one’s close family members. Some families will attend a church service on the 24th or 25th of December and open presents after attending their religious institution. The French version of “Christmas spirit” focuses on sharing with one’s family – very similar to how the holiday is celebrated within the United States except for the focus on religion.”

Here is a website with information on how Christmas is celebrated around the world!

(One of my favorite sections is under “Christmas Special,” where it shares how to wish a Merry Christmas in other languages!)

Merry Christmas to all – however you celebrate! – and to all a goodnight!
